T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi Calling is an integrated feature on T-Mobile phones that allows you to make and receive calls or texts over an available Wi-Fi network. You can call anyone regardless of what device or service they are using. You will also retrieve voicemails and messages in the same inbox as your cellular calls and texts. If your device uses wi-fi 1.0, you must have an active T-Mobile SIM in the device to use Wi-Fi calling. If you have access to the network equipment: Turn off your router and modem. This could easily happen in a pocket, using landscape mode, etc when in a weak WiFi coverage area of your home. I was just using WiFi calling at a hotel as the room was only able to get a slow and sometimes unavailable B12 signal. Worked like a charm on my iP7 & S7 edge. Most consumer WiFi routers, esp ISP modem/router combos, have weak WiFi

The official word from T-mobile is they cannot provide Wifi calling on non t-mobile android phones. It is not that ATT has software blocking it.
