Jul 19, 2015 · Starting today I have been getting connection to server username@domainname.com timed out' errors. I was running v31.x so I updated to 38.x but I;m till getting the issue. - Two separate IMAP email accounts are failing; both are MediaTemple email accounts; neither config has changed; I'm able to access recent messages via iPhone and through but when i use the Query analyzer it does not time out but it does run for about 1 min and 15 sec. if i run this in a 'New View' it times out as well. the only place this seems to run is in Query analyser. i have changed the query timeout in the SQL Enterprise manager to 0 (unlimited) and it still happens. With the custom domain setup, I configured a virtual private network with the address range 10.0.0.x and since I wanted to host my own Active Directory and you can see by the response it did pick up my DNS server.
